"Perfume of the Olive Oil"

A guided tasting of high quality olive oil to appreciate it's various characteristics ( and how to recognize the defective ones!) There will be a practical lesson on techniques for tasting olive oil and an introduction to the benefits of olive oil on our health.

Following there will also be a tasting of the Azienda's wines and traditional Tuscan foods including:

• Chianti DOCG

     Served with Schacciatine (flatbread with various toppings), Bruschetta with Olive Oil, and Panzanella (Tuscan bread salad)
 

• Birbante Rosso di Toscana IGT

    Served with Prosciutto, Arugula (Rocket) and Parmesean followed by Roasted Sausage and Beans Tuscan style from the wood burning oven

• Vin Santo del Chianti Riserva 2004 DOC

    Served with Marini olive oil cookies and followed by coffee

Cantine Aperte!

An instructive couse on how wine, olive oil, and vin santo are made on the farm as well as a guided tasting of the wines, olive oil and vin santo of the Azienda.

The lesson will be from 10:00 to 12:00

For Children there will also be:

A play area open all day with a Moon Bounce!

The fun continues in the Afternoon at 16pm.
