Wine of Friendship

The Vin Santo is one of the most ancient and typical products of Tuscany: its origins dates back to the Middle Ages. In the years of the rural culture, you were used to keep a bottle of Vin Santo, offer a glass of this precious nectar to friends and guests and toast the festivities. That’s why Vin Santo has always been and will be considered as the Wine of Friendship. The Vinsanto is created through a long and slow process that begins in September/October with the collection of the best Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes and their natural drying on the so-called “Castelli di Canicci” and “Pendane”, in the typical “Vinsantaia” (a ventilated attic) until Christmas.
