PISTOIA. Saturday 24 and Sunday, May 25th we held the usual food and wine festival called “Cantine Aperte” in the splendid setting of the farm Giuseppe Marini, in Pontenuovo. The initiative included a guided tour, tasting of fine wines and spirits produced on the farm, carrying on the spot and the exhibition of works of art in stone and copper, games and music for children and piccini.La evening was ended with a charity dinner whose proceeds were donated to the Green Cross section of Chiazzano.

“This section – say the makers of the Green Cross of Chiazzano – intends to publicly thank Mr. Marini (company owner) and his entire family for the wonderful initiative and for having thought, in so delicate a moment, to devote time and resources to this charity initiative. Another thank you wanted to do the sculptor Giorgio Fraino, which has put at our disposal (for a lottery organized in the afternoon) a statue he created during the day. ”

The proceeds from these initiatives will be used to purchase equipment for the new emergency service recently activated from the section of the Green Cross. “From the 12th of this month – explain those responsible – we have made available to the citizens an ambulance equipped for resuscitation, with trained personnel ready to go in case of emergency calls in our area.”
